How to Increase Max Temp for pre 2013 bullfrog spas

(ML Panels: ML550 Thru ML900)

Your spa is set to normally allow you to raise the Set Temperature only to 104 °F. However, by using a special procedure, you can raise the Set Temperature to 105 °F or 106 °F:

Step 1: Raise the Set Temperature to 104 °F.

Step 2: While the Set Temperature is displayed (flashing): 1.) Press the Mode button, then. 2.) Press the Warm button once to raise the Set Temperature to 105 °F or twice to raise it to 106 °F.

If the Set Temperature is either 105 °F or 106 °F and you simply press Warm or Cool while the Set Temperature is flashing, the Set Temperature will jump to 104 °F.

If you want to lower the Set Temperature only from 106 °F to 105 °F , you must:

Step 1: Press Cool once to display the current Set Temperature, then

Step 2: Press the Mode button followed by the Cool button (again) to lower the Set Temperature by only one step.

If you want to raise the Set Temperature from 105 °F to 106 °F, you must:

Step 1: Press Warm once to display the current Set Temperature, then

Step 2: Press the Mode button followed by the Warm button (again) to raise the Set Temperature by that one extra step.

Once an Over-Range Temperature is set, the water temperature display alternates with “or“ every 6 seconds, even if the water temperature is below 105°F and/or the spa is heating.

If the spa is powered down with a Set Temperature of 105 °F or 106 °F when it powers back up it will have a Set Temperature of 104 °F.
