How to Avoid Broken Clips
- If your spa is located in a high-wind area, the clips may not be sufficient to hold down the cover. High winds can blow the cover off, causing the clips to snap. To avoid this, consider adding a wind strap to your cover or placing sandbags on each corner. This will help keep the wind from blowing the cover open.
- When you open your cover, ensure that the clips on the back of the cover have been unclipped. If they are still clipped in when the cover is opened, they can snap off.
How to Replace your Cover Clips
Step 1
- Remove the damaged clip by cutting the back crossbar piece with pliers.
- Avoid cutting the strap.
Step 2
- Insert the new clip into the strap. This is done by sliding the strap through the open section of the crossbar.
